My Story
Growing up in a family of eight, Yeukai witnessed firsthand how trauma doesn’t just impact one person. It affects entire families. Watching her mother navigate emotional pain from a young age sparked something deep within her. It gave her a profound understanding of how trauma can shape connection, safety, and identity. Born in Zimbabwe and raised in Canada, Yeukai immigrated with her family at just 10 months old. After living in Ontario, they settled in Montreal where she attended both French primary and high school. Navigating multiple cultures helped her develop a strong sense of empathy and adaptability.
She is trilingual, fluent in English, French, and Shona, which allows her to connect deeply with a diverse range of people. Yeukai has seen what it means to carry inherited pain and what it takes to begin breaking generational cycles. Through regular community volunteering and a strong commitment to healing work, she brings both lived experience and deep compassion to everything she does. She holds a special place in her heart for BIPOC communities and believes she has a calling to walk alongside others in their healing journeys, helping them feel seen, safe, and supported.
