Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?

Finding the right fit matters. You’re welcome to reach out with questions, or we can schedule an initial consultation to see if working together feels like a good match.

2. How often do we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, and we adjust frequency together based on your needs and goals.

3. What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Sessions are offered virtually.

4. What can I expect in a session?

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be charged the full session fee.

5. Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Everything shared in therapy is confidential, with a few legal exceptions that I’ll review with you at the start of our work together.

6. Do you accept insurance or work benefits?

I’m a private-pay provider and don’t bill insurance directly. Some clients use work benefits, and I’m happy to provide an invoice that you can submit to your provider for possible reimbursement. I recommend checking with your benefits provider to understand your coverage.

7. How do sliding scale spots work?

I keep a small number of sliding scale spots for clients who need some financial flexibility, including people without insurance or those connected to nonprofit or community organizations. These spots are limited, so availability can change. If this feels relevant to you, feel free to reach out and we can talk about what’s currently open.
